The Otherworld series is a genre-bending combination of dystopian science fiction and epic fantasy adventure. The premise of the Otherworld series is simple:

In a dystopian future, online gaming is the ultimate escape... until one corporation gives a few lucky players the chance to play their favorite sword, steampunk and sorcery game live and in-person on a distant planet. Taking Clarke's Third Law to its extreme, we follow the adventures of players who are pitted against dragons played by biological robots and magic that is performed by nanites. Higher stakes means better ratings for GameComm, the company that made all of this possible, so they basically throw everything they can at the selected Champions to increase their profit margin. Since it is an alien world, we also encounter threats that aren't quite intended; hence the tagline: Everything is NOT under control.

The series actually began with Luckbane, published in September 2013, but the series has undergone some changes since the conception of the Midwich Multiverse, including the addition of a prequel.

Additionally, there is a novella called Garden of Stone, which includes the short story "Bad Program" and the four character interviews created to stir up interest in the series at the publication to Luckbane.
